Whereas, Belinda Marshall has filed a lawsuit against the Milwaukee Employes' Retirement System/Annuity and Pension Board seeking damages in the amount of $28,000.00; and
Whereas, The claimant has agreed to settle the lawsuit in the amount of $12,500.00; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to pay this settlement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and are hereby authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $12,500.00, payable to the order of Belinda Marshall and Fuchs, DeStefanis & Boyle, S.C., in full and final settlement of this claim, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, said amount to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 636506 0001 1490 2631 S118-2002.
