Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Operation Lead Elimination Action Program Grant Project from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. The project will leverage private sector resources to eliminate lead poisoning as a major public health threat to young children.  

Body:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to leverage private sector resources to eliminate lead poisoning as a major public health threat to young children; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development is authorized.
