Analysis

This resolution will result in the acceptance of a donated vacant lot.

Body

Whereas, Scott and Christine Durian wish to donate to the City of Milwaukee a vacant lot at 2730-32 North 2nd Street, which is adjacent to six city-owned, vacant, tax-deed lots; and

Whereas, All of these lots are located in an area which is being considered for new residential development by the MLK Economic Development Group; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of the deed contingent upon receiving clear title along with a historical check to assure that no potential environmental problems exist; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said donation is accepted and that the property will be added to the City of Milwaukee's inventory.
