Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to reimburse AT&T, $12,090.42 for the material, labor, engineering and construction costs to relocate their cable to accommodate the reconstruction of South Chase Avenue Bridge over the Kinnickinnic River.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 010599 on September 25, 2001 approving the construction to replace the South Chase Avenue Bridge over the Kinnickinnic River with Federal/State Aid; and

Whereas, In the course of construction, it became necessary to relocate AT&T cable that was in conflict with construction activities; and

Whereas, AT&T was requested, and in good faith agreed, to relocate the said cable to a portion of which lies on the adjacent railroad right-of-way, to allow for bridge construction activities to proceed; and

Whereas, The costs to relocate the portion of the cable which lies in the railroad right-of-way would normally be an eligible project expenditure; however, to expedite the bridge restoration, we agreed to pay for that portion of the project; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to reimburse AT&T $12,090.42 incurred for relocating their cable to accommodate the construction of the South Chase Avenue bridge over the Kinnickinnic River; and, be it
