Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot.
Body
Whereas, Grace L. Manning, with her property located at 4554-56 West Spencer Place, has submitted an Offer to Purchase one-half of said lot for $750; and
 
Whereas, Bobby L. Perry, with his property located at 4566 West Spencer Place, has submitted an Offer to Purchase one-half of said lot for $750; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of both Offers to Purchase with the contingency that both sales close at the same time; and
 
Whereas, Should either proposed buyer not comply with the intent of this resolution, the full lot may be sold to the complying adjoining owner for $1,500; and
 
Whereas, Said lot is being sold in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for this lot; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said lot is declared surplus, that said Offers to Purchase are accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution with the proceeds from the sales, less a 15 percent disposition cost reimbursement to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
