Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $609.00 payable to Mr. and Mrs. George Giles, 6631 West Glenbrook Road, Milwaukee, WI 53223, to reimburse them for property damage; and, be it
Resolved, That members have reviewed the records relating to the incident on March 14, 2002 in which the Police were in pursuit of a subject, and have taken testimony from the claimant. Based on this review, members of the Committee, despite the recommendation of the City Attorney's office, believe the Police erroneously entered the claimant's home in pursuit of the subject. The amount recommended for settlement of the claim, $609.00, represents reimbursement for damages to two doors to the residence. This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund – 0001, Organization – 1490, Program – 2631, Sub Class – S118.
