Substitute resolution approving construction of nonassessable public improvement projects at various locations.
Analysis
This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and

Whereas, Additional funds must be authorized to undertake the following improvement:

8th and 12th Aldermanic Districts

S. 19th St. – W. Burnham St. to W. Becher St. (SW170020103) File Number 020534: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Expansion of Capacity Sewer Fund -- $170,000)

Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:

4th Aldermanic District

N. Art Museum Dr. – E. Michigan St. to N. Lincoln Memorial Dr. (ST21090122) File Number 991032: Street paving. (Nonassessable New Street Paving Fund -- $212,000)

6th and 10th Aldermanic Districts

W. Concordia Ave. – N. 8th St. to N. 11th St. (SM495020190) File Number 011335: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $89,000)

12th Aldermanic District

S. 19th St. – W. Becher St. to W. Burnham St. (WT410021093) File Number 020728: Relay water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund -- $300,000)

; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
