Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on August 1, 2002 approved the 2003 Funding Plan under file number 020549; and,

Whereas, The amount of $1,918,217 in CDBG funds was reserved for City Departments; and

Whereas, The Budget Office has submitted (See Attachment A for details) the allocation of the reserved $1,918,217 of CDBG funding for City departments as follows:

Milw. Fire Dept. FOCUS and Fire Prevention Education $ 462,000
Milw. Public Library Community Outreach & Technology Center $ 543,224
Milw. Public Library Mobile Library Technology Services $ 248,717
Health Department Communicable Disease Reduction Initiative $ 250,046
Health Department Healthy Family/Healthy Infant Initiative $ 198,718
Health Department Environmental Planning and Review $ 41,538
Common Council- Community Services $ 122,473

Resolved, That the Community Development Committee has agreed to fund the above City Departments using $1,918,217 of the 2003 CDBG entitlement funds; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the authorization for the funding listed in the resolution is subject to the availability of the Year 2003 community development funding and release of funds for this purpose by HUD; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Community Block Grant Administration is authorized to prepare and submit the Annual Action Plan for community development funding to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in accordance with the C...
