Title
Substitute ordinance relating to the amendment of the Flood Plain District boundary along a portion of the Wilson Park Creek being part of the Kinnickinnic watershed, in the 13th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance will amend the boundary of the 100-year flood plain along a portion of the Wilson Park Creek being part of the Kinnickinnic watershed for property located at 4143 South 13th Street known as Wilson Commons, a senior living facility.
Body
The Mayor and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances a new section to read as follows:
Section 295-1011.0001. The zoning map is amended to revise a portion of the Flood Plain District boundary along the Kinnickinnic watershed as shown on the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map (“FIRM”) Panel Number 550278 0015B. The revision includes a portion of Section 19, Township 6 North, Range 22 East, as described in Warranty Deed, Document No. 8149945, recorded in Reel 5178, Images 2408 through 2410, filed on October 12, 2001, by the Register of Deeds, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin; the portion of land to be removed from the Special Flood Hazard Area (“SFHA”) is more particularly described by the following metes and bounds:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of said 1/4 Section; thence North along the east line of said 1/4 Section 562.99 feet to a point; thence North 89 deg. 55 min. 05 sec. West, 45 feet to a point on the west line of South 13th Street, said point being the point of beginning; thence continuing North 89 deg. 55 min. 05 sec. West, 222.04 feet to a point; thence North 45 deg. 46 min. 35 sec. West, 397.65 feet to a point; thence North 28 deg. 42 min. 21 sec. West, 33.38 feet to a point; thence North 37 deg. 37 min. 03 sec.
