Analysis

This ordinance provides that, in order for a newly-constructed transmission tower to be classified as a limited use, the tower shall be located at least 500 feet from the nearest existing transmission tower.  If the proposed tower cannot meet this requirement, the tower shall be classified as a special use.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 295-413-1-m of the code is created to read:

295-413.  Transmission Towers.

1.  LIMITED USE STANDARDS.

m.  No existing transmission tower shall be located within 500 feet of the proposed tower location.
