Analysis
This ordinance makes the following changes to fees in the building code:
1. The applicability of building permit fees to residential buildings containing 3 or more dwelling units is made explicit.
2. The distinction between the building permit fee for industrial and manufacturing buildings ($0.12 per square foot) and the permit fee for apartment buildings and commercial buildings ($0.18 per square foot) is clarified.
3. The fee for a certificate of zoning with a single inspection is set at $125, whereas the fee for a certificate of zoning with no inspections is set at $75. Previously, these same fees applied to certificates of zoning with and without plumbing inspections.
