Title

Analysis
This ordinance designates West Roosevelt Drive from West Capitol Drive to West Fond du Lac Avenue, and West Burleigh Street from West Fond du Lac Avenue to North Sherman Boulevard, as off-limits for cruising.  The ordinance also changes the northern boundary of  Fond du Lac Avenue where cruising is prohibited from West Capitol Drive to West Hampton Avenue.  Pursuant to s. 101-20.5-1-a of the code, cruising is defined as driving a motor vehicle past a traffic control point along a designated section of street more than twice in any 2-hour period between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
 
Part 1.  Section 101-20.5-1-b-8 of the code is amended to read:
 
101-20.5.      Cruising Prohibited.
 
1.      DEFINITIONS.
 
b.  "Designated area" means:
 
b-8.  All of that portion of West Fond du Lac Avenue bounded by West Locust Street on the south and West [[Capitol Drive]] >>Hampton Avenue<< on the north .
 
Part 2.  Section 101-20.5-1-b-15 and 16 of the code is created to read:
 
b-15.  All that portion of West Roosevelt Drive bounded by West Capitol Drive on the east and West Fond du Lac Avenue on the west.
 
b-16.  All that portion of West Burleigh Street bounded by West Fond du Lac Avenue on the east and North Sherman Boulevard on the west.
