Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the HUD Lead Abatement Extension Grant Project from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. The project will fund lead hazard reduction in 800 low-income housing units located in the Lead Program's target area.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund lead hazard reduction in 800 low-income housing units located in the Lead Program's target area; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application by the Health Department to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the HUD Lead Abatement Extension Grant is authorized.
