Whereas, The above-captioned case concerns a personal injury action seeking compensation for injuries sustained by plaintiff Julie A. Clarke in an automobile collision with Joshua M. Seidl which occurred on August 29, 1998; and
Whereas, The City has a subrogation lien of $8,038.52 for medical payments made pursuant to its Basic Health Plan on behalf of Julie A. Clarke for treatment of injuries allegedly sustained in connection with the accident; and
Whereas, Plaintiff has offered the City the amount of $4,019.26 in settlement of her subrogation lien; and
Whereas, The amount offered is a fair and reasonable settlement of the City's subrogation lien; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to accept the settlement of $4,019.26 in release and satisfaction of the City's subrogation lien against Julie A. Clarke.
