Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of seven vacant, tax-deed lots for new church construction.
Body
Whereas, Praise Temple Baptist Church, Terrance Sims, has submitted an unsolicited Offer to Purchase the following vacant, tax-deed lots in the amount of $15,000 for construction of a church:

2921 North 20th Street, 310-1062-X

2927 North 20th Street, 310-1061-4

2935 North 20th Street, 310-1059-3

; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of this Offer contingent upon:

1. Closing must occur within 90 days from adoption of this resolution and only after site and building plan approval by DCD's Development Center and a firm financing commitment is in place to complete the project as proposed.

2. Construction must be completed within 9 months from the date of closing.

Whereas, DCD recommends sale in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lots are surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lots are declared surplus; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the unsolicited Offer to Purchase from Praise Temple Baptist Church, Terrance Sims, is accepted and that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry ...
