Minutes note: THE CLERK swore in the Court Reporter. Nonrenewal of a Class "D" Bartender License Renewal Application of Belinda Gutierrez. (no written exceptions have been filed) Nonrenewal of a Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Amusement (Cabaret/Nite Club) application of Joanne L. Flanagan and determination of an unfit location based upon police report and neighborhood objection for the premises at 7924 W. Appleton Ave. ("Maze Nite Club") in the 5th Aldermanic District. (written exceptions were filed). The president questioned whether the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee in these matters and any written exceptions, if filed by the licensees? Ayes: 14 - Ald. Herron, D'Amato, Henningsen, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Dudzik, Sanchez, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Pratt. Excused: 2 -Ald. Bohl and Johnson-Odom. Belinda Gutierrez not present. Joanne L. Flanagan present with Counsel. ALD. SANCHEZ moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Attorney for the applicant and the City Attorney's Office. PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE Attorney Franklyn Gimbel, representing Joanne L. Flanagan, applicant and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter. ALD. SANCHEZ moved that the committee do now rise. The motion prevailed. ALD. NARDELLI moved to strike the following language: "That this location be declared unfit for a Class "B" Tavern license". The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: 8 - Ald. D'Amato, Henningsen, Gordon, Sanchez, Pawlinski, Nardelli, Hines and President Pratt. Noes: 6 - Ald. Herron, Donovan, Richards, Dudzik, Breier and Murphy. ALD. PAWLINSKI moved for nonrenewal of the Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Amusement license application of Joanne L. Flanagan for the premises at 7924 W. Appleton Avenue. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: 13 - Ald. Herron, D'Amato, Henningsen, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Dudzik, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Pratt. Noes: 0. Excused: 3 - Ald. Bohl, Johnson-Odom and Sanchez. ALD. PAWLINSKI moved for adoption of File 020123 as amended. Ayes: 14 - Ald.
