Title

Analysis
Current code requires the city treasurer to issue a certificate relative to taxes outstanding on particular parcels prior to the issuance of certified survey maps or plats of subdivision. This ordinance amends the format of those certificates to comply with ss. 236.21 and 236.34, Wis. Stats., which require that there be no unpaid taxes or special assessments (accounts are paid in full with no balance outstanding) on the land included in the certified survey map or subdivision plat.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 119-8-2-f of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
119-8. Required Certificates, Agreements and Resolutions; Final Maps.
2. The certificates, agreements and resolutions required under sub. 1 shall be in the following form or variations thereof:
f. Form No. 6: Certified Survey Map.

I, (type or print name), being the duly elected, qualified and acting City Treasurer of the City of Milwaukee, certify that in accordance with the records in the office of the City Treasurer of the City of Milwaukee there are no unpaid taxes or unpaid special assessments on the land included in this certified survey map.
