Resolution granting permission to the Village of Greendale to provide water service to four customers in the Village of Hales Corners. (Water Works)
Analysis
This resolution allows the Village of Greendale to serve water to four customers in the Village of Hales Corners located on a boundary street.
 
Body
Whereas, The Village of Greendale is a wholesale water customer of the Milwaukee Water Works; and
 
Whereas, The wholesale water service agreement between Greendale and Milwaukee prohibits Greendale from selling water outside its Village boundaries; and
 
Whereas, The Village is proposing to install a water main in S. 92nd Street that will be partially located in the Village of Hales Corners; and
 
Whereas, Four customers located in the Village of Hales Corners may be served with water through the proposed water main and the Village of Greendale has passed a resolution formally requesting permission to serve these customers; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works' distribution system is not available to serve these four customers and the Water Works has no objection to Greendale providing water service to the four properties; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that permission is hereby granted to the Village of Greendale to provide water service to 6060, 6088, 6114 and 5879 (Boerner Botanical Garden Visitor & Education Center) South 92nd Street in the Village of Hales Corners.
