Resolution implementing the order issued by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission to adjust water rates. (Water Works)
 
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Water Works to implement the increased water rates contained in an order issued by the Public Service Commission.
 
Body
Whereas, The Common Council, under Resolution 010234 directed the Water Works to file a petition for a water rate increase with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin; and
 
Whereas, The Public Service Commission has conducted an audit of the Water Works' records, solicited testimony from interested parties and held a public hearing on January 30, 2002; and
 
Whereas, On February 15, 2002 the Public Service Commission issued an order authorizing revised water rates (copy attached); now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Milwaukee Water Works is authorized and directed to implement the rates contained in the Public Service Commission order of February 15, 2002, in accordance with the attached implementation schedule.
