Analysis
This ordinance requires all applicants for a special event permit who also request that 7 or more parking meters be hooded or removed for the purpose of their event to submit a $2,500 surety bond to secure their compliance with the terms and conditions of the special event permit.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 105-55.5-3-c of the code is renumbered 105-55.5-3-d.
Part 2. Section 105-55.5-3-c of the code is created to read:
105-55.5. Special Event Permit.
3. PERMIT REGULATIONS.
c. Surety bond. For any special event for which the applicant requests the commissioner of public works to either hood or remove 7 or more parking meters, there shall be submitted with the application a surety bond executed by a surety company licensed to do business in the state of Wisconsin in the sum of not less than $2,500 to secure the applicant's compliance with the terms and conditions of the special event permit.
