Resolution dissolving Tax Incremental District No. 16 (Genesis Park). (DCD)

Analysis

TID No. 16 was created in 1991. To date, no project expenditures have been incurred and the period for incurring project costs has expired. Consequently, the TID is required to be dissolved. The district is now the site of the new northside YMCA branch, which is currently under construction.

Body

Whereas, Tax Incremental District No. 16 was created with the adoption of Common Council File No. 910114 on June 4, 1991; and

Whereas, To date no project costs have been incurred and the period for expending project costs in the Tax Incremental District has expired; and

Whereas, The property which the district encompassed has recently been sold and is being developed with a new YMCA facility; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that Tax Incremental District No. 16 is dissolved and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to notify the Wisconsin Department of Revenue of this action.
