Title
Resolution permitting a minor modification to the General Planned Development known as Humboldt Yards, located on the East Side of North Humboldt Avenue and South of East North Avenue, in the 6th Aldermanic District. (DCD)
Analysis
This resolution will allow for the installation of a temporary, off-premise sign that was not previously approved as part of the General Planned Development.
Body
Whereas, Section 295-814(5) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances permits modifications to planned developments after approval of the Common Council; and
Whereas, The general plan for a planned development known as Humboldt Yards was approved by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on June 5, 1998, under File No. 971743; and
Whereas, The owner is requesting to add an off-premise sign located at 2160 North Commerce Street to identify the Trostel Square residential development located to the West in the Beer Line B redevelopment area; and
Whereas, The proposed sign is consistent with the approved sign standards, the spirit and intent of the approved general plan, will not adversely affect surrounding development and a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part as though fully set forth herein; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the minor modification to the approved plan permitting the addition of a pre-construction sign that was not previously approved as part of the General Planned Development is approved.
