Title

Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of four vacant, tax-deed lots.
Body
Whereas, Urban Developers, LLC is working with the State of Wisconsin to build a women's pre-release center at a site which includes said vacant, tax-deed lots; and

Whereas, Urban Developers, LLC has submitted an Option to Purchase said lots in the amount of $20,963; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of said Option contingent upon the following:

1. Urban Developers, LLC has site control of all of the adjoining parcels.

2. Site and building plans must be approved by the DCD's Planning Section.

3. Approval by the Board of Zoning Appeals and any other required regulatory body.

4. A financial commitment in place to complete the project as proposed; and

Whereas, DCD recommends sale in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lots are surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lots are declared surplus; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Option to Purchase from Urban Developers, LLC is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution with the proceeds from the sale, less a 15 percent development fee to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 00...
