Analysis

This resolution will result in the transfer of a vacant, tax-deed lot.

Body

Whereas, The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee ("HACM") owns a vacant lot at 3731 North 22nd Street which adjoins the vacant, tax-deed lot at 3735 North 22nd Street and will combine the two parcels for new residential construction; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends transfer of said lot in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lot is surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lot is declared surplus; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Department of City Development is authorized to transfer said lot to HACM for no monetary consideration and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution.
