Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to issue a permit allowing excavation in the street pavement at 2000 North Commerce Street where the pavement is less than three years old. (DPW)
Analysis
This resolution allows a cut in street pavement at 2000 North Commerce Street where the pavement is currently under three year warranty.
Body
Whereas, Residential development known as River Homes on the Beer Line is being constructed in the 2000 block of North Commerce Street; and
Whereas, The development requires installation of new natural gas service; and
Whereas, Installation of the gas line will necessitate cutting street pavement that is less than three years old; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to issue an excavation permit allowing a pavement cut in the street adjacent to 2000 North Commerce Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the pavement restoration shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications and restrictions established by the Department of Public Works of the City of Milwaukee; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Wisconsin Gas Company shall be responsible for any future defects in the affected pavement section if such defects are attributable to the gas line installation work.
