Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with SBC Global Services, Inc./Ameritech to provide communication services for the new 3^rd District Police Station and Comm/Data Center.

Body

Whereas, The new 3^rd District Police Station and Comm/Data Center is near completion and final connections are being made to the facility along with all other District Stations for the new 911 and dispatching system; and

Whereas, Communication connections required to operate the new 911 and dispatching system are being supplied by SBC Global Services, Inc./Ameritech; and

Whereas, An agreement needs to be executed with SBC Global Services/Ameritech in order to complete the connections; and

Whereas, The agreement must be signed by a City Official empowered to execute such agreements; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with SBC Global Services, Inc./Ameritech for communication services for the new 3^rd District Police Station and Comm/Data Center and all other District Police Stations; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the funds to pay for these communications services will come from existing Milwaukee Police Department Accounts.
