Title
Substitute resolution relative to application, acceptance, and funding of a State of Wisconsin Coastal Management Program Grant in Beer Line "B" Tax Incremental District No. 22 in the 3rd and 6th Aldermanic Districts.
Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes the City of Milwaukee, Department of City Development, to apply for and to accept and fund a State of Wisconsin Coastal Management Program Grant. Funding will be provided to the Department of City Development to fund a Kilbourn Park and Landing Project. The purpose of the Project is to regrade, landscape and construct the Kilbourn Park improvements included in the Beer Line "B" Tax Incremental District No. 22 Project Plan. The amount of the Project is $4,147,866 with a Grantor Share of $1,952,840 and a City Share of $2,195,026. The City Share will come from In-Kind City services.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee ("City") appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Coastal Management Program for the Kilbourn Park and Landing Project; and

Whereas, It appears that City involvement in this grant and aid program will result in a major benefit to the City to further the redevelopment efforts in the Beer Line "B" Tax Incremental District No. 22; and

Whereas, The Department of Administration, Intergovernmental Relations Division, has determined that operation of this Grant program from March 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003 will cost approximately $4,147,866, of which $1,952,840 or 47 percent will be provided by the Grantor; and

Whereas, The City Share of this Grant program, $2,195,026 or 53 percent, will come from In-Kind City services:
