Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on November 28, 2000 approved the 2001 CDBG award to the Right Alternative Family Services Center in the amount of $85,700; and
Whereas, The Right Alternative Family Services Center has failed to respond to CBGA requests to report activities and submit any programmatic and cost documents as stated in the 2001 City of Milwaukee contract; and
Whereas, CBGA cannot document and certify to the City of Milwaukee and the Federal government any contractual performance and will be unable to do so during the last three months of this program year; and
Whereas, The 2001 City of Milwaukee Contract Article VIII clearly outlines the reason for "Termination of Contract For Cause"; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the Community Development Committee on November 20, 2001 has agreed to terminate the 2001 City of Milwaukee contract with Right Alternative Family Services Center for cause in the amount of $85,700, and the Community Block Grant Administration will provide written notice to Right Alternative Family Services Center of such termination in compliance with Article VIII of the City Contract; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the funds in the amount of $85,700 be transferred to the CDBG Contingency Account and reserved for Large Impact Development (LID) projects.
