Title

Resolution to remove the No Vehicular Access Restriction from a portion of North 24^th Place (west side) between West Brown Street and West Lloyd Street, in the 7^th Aldermanic District of the City of Milwaukee. (Infrastructure Services Division)

Analysis

This resolution will remove the No Vehicular Access Restriction and provide property owners with legal access onto North 24^th Place.

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee placed a No Vehicular Access Restriction as terms of the sale of the property by Quit Claim Deed dated June 6, 1984, recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds of Milwaukee County as Document No. 5738466 in Reel 1665 Image 146 on August 1, 1984; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is the present owner of the south one half of the property along with other properties adjacent and has requested the removal of this No Vehicular Access Restriction to allow development and improvement of the land; and

Whereas, Upon reviewing the No Vehicular Access Restriction, the City Engineer has no objection to releasing said access restriction; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the restriction for No Vehicular Access to North 24^th Place from Lot 26 in Block 13 of Meehan and Somer's Subdivision, a recorded subdivision in the Northwest ¼ of Section 19, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, be rescinded; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby directed to have a certified copy of this resolution recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds of Milwaukee County.
