Analysis

This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot.

Body

Whereas, Janice Shoman has offered $1,000 to purchase 1011-13 West National Avenue; and

Whereas, Ms. Shoman is continuing an extensive rehabilitation of her historic structure at 1015 West National Avenue and will landscape and appropriately fence the green space; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends sale in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition and acceptance of Ms. Shoman's Offer; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lot is surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lot is declared surplus; and, be it

Further Resolved, That Ms. Shoman's Offer to Purchase is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution with the proceeds from the sale being credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
