Permits return of property owned by the City under conditions imposed by Ordinance File Number 901739, passed by the Common Council on July 28, 1992.
Body
Whereas, The property located 6200 North 84th Street, tax key number 153-9982-311-8 previously owned by Balm In Gilead For All People Church & Ministries, has delinquent taxes for 1994 - 2000 and was foreclosed upon pursuant to Sec. 75.521, Wis. Stats., and a fee simple absolute was obtained in favor of the City of Milwaukee dated July 30, 2001; and

Whereas, Balm In Gilead For All People Church & Ministries, would like to reclaim said property by paying all City and County real estate taxes, plus accrued interest and penalties to date of payment, and all costs as sustained by the City in the foreclosing and management of said property since July 30, 2001; and

Whereas, The Department of Neighborhood Services indicates the owners commenced construction of the church building but work was never completed. The exterior walls were constructed without a permit. No other work has been done and the property has remained in this condition for over a year. In April 2001, DNS issued an order to restore the site to its previous condition. There has not been compliance with the order and there is approximately $1,025 in pending reinspection fees for failing to comply with the order. Return of the property is CONTINGENT UPON THE OWNERS COMPLYING WITH THE ORDER TO REMOVE THE FOOTIN...
