Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install street lighting facilities in conjunction with the paving of Boardwalk (including Structure B-40-403) from West Park Place to STH 145. Funding for the construction of the street lighting improvements is to be provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation under the Federally funded State Highway Improvement Program.
Body
Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reconstructing the North interchange of USH 41/45 and STH 100/145 under the State Highway Improvement Program; and

Whereas, The Interchange reconstruction project provides cost participation for street lighting improvements in conjunction with the paving of Boardwalk (including Structure B-40-403) from West Park Place to STH 145; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of street lighting improvements included as part of this project is $21,594.02; and

Whereas, One hundred percent of the participating project cost, or $21,594.02, is part of this project and is reimbursable from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and this amount is not included in Division accounts, and should be earmarked for this project in the 2001 Capital Grant and Aid Projects Fund Project/Grant Number SP032010100; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute a contract with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation pertaining to the cost participation for the installation of street lighting improvements in conjunction with the construction of Boardwalk (including Structure B-40-403)...
