Title

Substitute resolution directing the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate a portion of the south leg of North Killian Place in the block bounded by East Brown Street, North Buffum Street, North Hubbard Street and East Lloyd Street, in the 6th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This substitute resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said portion of street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary for the sale and future development of land for single-family homes.

Body

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that a portion of the south leg of North Killian Place in the block bounded by East Brown Street, North Buffum Street, North Hubbard Street and East Lloyd Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; and

Whereas, The vacation of said portion of street is necessary for sale and future redevelopment; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of street in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
