Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said portion of street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary to eliminate right-of-way remnants.

Body

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that the Westerly 30 feet of Lots 7271 and 7281 North 38th Street located North of West Good Hope Road be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; and

Whereas, The vacation of said portion of street is necessary for eliminating right-of-way remnants; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of street in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
