Analysis
This resolution amends the disposition of said properties by directing that they be sold to a nonprofit organization for affordable housing purposes.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Nos. 001344 and 991536 adopted on February 6, 2001 and February 8, 2000, respectively, declared surplus and directed that the Department of City Development sell 1548 West Center Street and 2724 North 24th Street via the open listing method; and
Whereas, The Milwaukee Community Service Corps. and Acts Community Development Corporation, nonprofit organizations, have offered to purchase said properties for $500 each for affordable housing purposes and eventual resale to owner-occupants; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to sell 1548 West Center Street, Tax Roll Key No. 311-0710-000-0, to the Milwaukee Community Service Corps. and 2724 North 24th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 310-0417-00-0, to Acts Community Development Corporation for a fixed price of $500 each; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said properties and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106; and, be it
Further Resolved, That in the event that one of the purchasers is unable to consummate the sale of one of said properties, disposition will automatically revert back to sale under the open listing method without further action by the Common Council; and, be it
