Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes Business Improvement District No. 25 and the City of Milwaukee to enter into a Preliminary Agreement to develop a Detailed Design Development Plan for the East Capitol Drive Streetscape Improvement Project. The City of Milwaukee will fund up to 50 percent of the associated cost.
Body
Whereas, On October 19, 1999, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee created Business Improvement District No. 25 (“BID No. 25”) via File No. 990930 and approved its first Operating Plan; and
Whereas, The Preliminary Agreement Term Sheet, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, has been prepared with the participation of the BID No. 25 Board and City of Milwaukee departments; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee will contribute up to 50 percent, not to exceed $35,000, of the cost associated with the Detailed Design Development Plan for the East Capitol Drive Streetscape Improvement Project; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to enter into a Preliminary Agreement with Business Improvement District No. 25 for the proposed Streetscape Improvement Project on East Capitol Drive in accordance with the Term Sheet for said Agreement; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Attorney's Office, in cooperation with the Commissioner of City Development, is authorized and directed to draft said Preliminary Agreement which is consistent with the terms and conditions of said Term Sheet and is mutually acceptable to the City Attorney, the Commissioner of City Development, and BID No. 25; and, ...
