Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
1st, 6th and 7th Aldermanic Districts
Area bounded by W. Nash St., W. Capitol Dr., N. 24th St., and W. Hopkins St. (SM494130201) File Number 121753: Sanitary Sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $425,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $445,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
5th Aldermanic District
W. Appleton Ave. - 70 feet m/l northwest of W. Derby Pl. to 25 feet m/l northwest of W. Derby Pl. (SM495130077) File Number 130688: Relaying storm sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $74,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $86,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
7th Aldermanic District
Area bounded by W. Congress St., W. Lincoln Creek Dr., N. 51st St., and N. 60th St. (#22) (SM494130202) File Number 130041: Sanitary Sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $566,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $586,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

N. 45th St. (900N) - Bridge over the Menomonee River and approaches (BR320062201/ST320062201) (2984-39-02) File Number 121222: Bridge rehabilitation, bridge approaches, install temporary bridge, replace curb and gutter, sidewalk as necessary, and grading.

The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $3,195,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

W. Grange Ave. - 400 feet m/l west of S. Howell Ave. to S. Howell Ave. (SM495130053) File Number 130599: Sanitary sewer relocation. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $59,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $74,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
15th Aldermanic District
W. Lisbon Ave. - N. 30th St. to 130 feet m/l east of N. 31st St. (SM495130060) File Number 130599: Combined large diameter sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $138,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Engineer is authorized to approve and make periodic payments to the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation after receipt of invoices from said State for the city's share of the costs for said project: N. 45th St. (900N) - Bridge over the Menomonee River and approaches (BR320062201/ST320062201) (2984-39-02); and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon the completion of project: N. 45th St. (900N) - Bridge over the Menomonee River and approaches (BR320062201/ST320062201) (2984-39-02) and a determination of the actual costs, it is understood that if the City of Milwaukee's share is less than the amount previously paid, the difference will be refunded to said City; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
