Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works and Comptroller to execute an Agreement for Payment for Relocation or Replacement of Municipal Utility Facilities Located on Public Held Land Required by Freeway Construction for the City Underground Conduit System.
This agreement relates to utility work on City Underground Conduit facilities necessitated by the rehabilitation of the Zoo Interchange in West Bluemound Road Bridge over USH-45, West O’Connor Street, North 84th Street, West Adler Street and North 92nd Street being undertaken by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in 2013-2014. This agreement provides for reimbursement from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation of 90 percent of City costs for all work on City underground conduit facilities necessitated by the freeway rehabilitation project in accord with Wisconsin State Statute 84.295(4m).
This resolution also authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to prepare and/or review plans and estimates for the Zoo Interchange utility work as necessary to accomplish the project. This resolution also authorizes the Comptroller to establish accounts as necessary to track the work and to submit invoices to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for work completed on this project as approved by the Commissioner of Public Works, for a total amount of $14,549.60 with a City share of $1,454.96.
