Analysis
This Resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Project Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of the West North Avenue Bridge (3100 W) over the Canadian Pacific Railway. The Project Agreement provides for 80 percent Federal and State aid and 20 percent local cost sharing for eligible construction costs for the project. The total estimated construction cost for the project is $2,644,590 of which $540,918 is the City of Milwaukee’s Share and $2,103,672 is the grantor's share. Construction funds for the project will be requested in a future Common Council resolution.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 110838 authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for preliminary engineering for the reconstruction of the West North Avenue Bridge over the Canadian Pacific Railway with 80 percent Federal and State aid under the STP-Local Bridge Program; and
