This resolution authorizes the sale of a vacant, tax deed lot owned by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, Mr. Sims currently operates BAST/Bobbie's Auto Service and Towing at 2419 West Fond du Lac Avenue and wishes to expand his business while maintaining a presence in the area; and

Whereas, Mr. Sims submitted an Offer to Purchase the vacant tax deed lot located at 2407 West Fond du Lac Avenue, Tax Roll Key No. 325-0035-7, in the amount of $3,750, for construction of a new automotive repair facility to complement his existing facility; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of said Offer, contingent upon the following:

1. Submittal, review and approval of site and building plans by the Department of City Development.

2. Approval by the Board of Zoning Appeals ("BOZA").

3. Written agreement with New Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, Inc., for shared parking on the vacant lot located at 2401-05 West Fond du Lac Avenue owned by the church.

4. Evidence of firm financing commitments to complete the project as proposed.

5. Construction must be completed within 18 months from the date of adoption of this resolution; and

Whereas, This vacant, tax deed lot is being sold in an "as is" condition and the City makes no representation or warranties concerning the condition of the property, including but not limited to, soil and subsoil condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said lot to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milw...
