Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2000 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 990704 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under "Common Council-City Clerk, Central Administration Division", add footnote designation "(X)(Y)" to one position of "Communications Policy Coordinator."

Under "Health Department, Administration Decision Unit, Chronic Disease Division, Coordinated Community Response Grant (EE)", delete one position of "Program Assistant II" and add one position of "Health Project Coordinator (CCR)(X)" and under "Pregnancy Prevention Consortium Grant", add one position of "Public Health Educator (X)" and amend footnote "(FF)" as follows: "To expire 9/29/00 unless the Pregnancy Prevention Consortium Grant, available from the Centers for Disease Control, is extended."

Under "Police Department, Administration/Services Decision Unit, Office of the Chief of Police", delete one position of "Office Assistant IV" and add one position of "Administrative Assistant II" and under "Vice Control", add two positions of "Detective (K)."

Under "Department of Public Works-Buildings & Fleet Division, Design and Construction Section, Drafting Service Unit", delete one position of "Engineering Technician IV" and add one position of "Engineering Technician V."

Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinance contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 3. The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
