This ordinance defines a "transportation service" as a facility used for the storage, dispatching or maintenance of public passenger vehicles, state-licensed human service vehicles for the elderly or handicapped or school buses. In addition, this ordinance designates transportation services as permitted uses in manufacturing and industrial zoning districts if the transportation services are located more than 200 feet from any residence district or residential planned development district and if all outdoor vehicle storage areas are located more than 200 feet from a public street. Transportation services in manufacturing and industrial districts shall be classified as special uses if they do not meet these distance standards. This ordinance also designates all transportation services as special uses in the local business, commercial service, regional shopping, C9C (CBD-neighborhood retail), C9G (CBD-mixed activity) and C9H (CBD-warehousing and light manufacturing) zoning districts.
