- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue a permit allowing excavation in pavement less than three years old.
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, The Marcus Corporation is expanding the Hilton Hotel located on the south side of West Wisconsin Avenue between North 5th and North 6th Streets; and
 
Whereas, Given the location of in-place electric facilities adjacent to the site, the most feasible way to provide electric service to the expanded hotel is from West Wisconsin Avenue; and
 
Whereas, Provision of electric service from West Wisconsin Avenue will require an open cut in the street's pavement; and
 
Whereas, The Wisconsin Electric Power Company has requested permission to install the electric service; and
 
Whereas, The proposed open cut will affect pavement that is less than three years old and subject to a pavement guarantee; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to issue an excavation permit to allow the installation of an electric service line in West Wisconsin Avenue's guaranteed pavement; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the pavement restoration of the affected street shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications and restrictions established by the Department of Public Works of the City of Milwaukee.
