TITLE:

A substitute charter ordinance relating to retirement benefits for certain employes represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

ANLS:

- Analysis -

This charter ordinance implements changes in benefits relating to the 1997-1999 labor agreement between the city of Milwaukee and Local 494, (Electrical Workers), I.B.E.W., AFL-CIO.

BODY:

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Parts 2 and 4 of charter ordinance file no. 941981 shall apply to general city employes who are represented by Local 494, (Electrical group) I.B.E.W., AFL-CIO commencing January 1, 1998.

Part 2. This is a charter ordinance and shall take effect 60 days after its passage and publication, unless within such 60 days a referendum petition is filed under s. 66.01(5), Wis. Stats., in which event this ordinance shall not take effect until submitted to a referendum and approved by a majority of the electors voting thereon.
