- Analysis -

This resolution abolishes the Sesquicentennial Endorsement Committee, which was created in 1995. This Committee was created to negotiate trademark license agreements related to the City of Milwaukee's 150th anniversary.

BODY:

Whereas, In 1996, the City of Milwaukee celebrated the 150th anniversary of its incorporation as a city; and

Whereas, On November 28, 1995, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 951031, which created the Sesquicentennial Endorsement Committee; and

Whereas, This Committee was authorized to negotiate agreements related to Sesquicentennial Logo Trademark License Agreements; and

Whereas, This Committee has fulfilled its function; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution File Number 951031 is rescinded, thereby abolishing the the Sesquicentennial Endorsement Committee.
