ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into agreements and/or issue permits for work in the southeast leg of East Reservoir Avenue from North Buffum Street to a point east. This section of East Reservoir is a dedicated but unimproved street. The work that the Commissioner could permit would be in conjunction with a proposed residential development. The formal process to vacate East Reservoir has been initiated. This resolution would allow work on the residential project to proceed in advance of and in anticipation of formal vacation of the street segment.


BODY:
Whereas, The process to formally vacate the southeast leg of East Reservoir Avenue from North Buffum Street to a point east has been initiated; and

Whereas, This segment of East Reservoir is a dedicated but unimproved street; and

Whereas, Vacation of this street segment will allow development of a residential project by the T.J. Dixon Company on a site which is partly owned by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The formal street vacation process could take up to three months to complete; and

Whereas, A delay of that length could jeopardize the completion schedule for the project; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into agreements and/or issue permits which will allow the developer to perform work in the segment of East Reservoir Avenue proposed to be vacated in advance of the street segment being formally vacated; and, be it
