Substitute resolution amending Common Council File Number 981383 authorizing attendance at Conventions and further authorizing appropriation and expenditure of Common Council Contingent Funds during April-December by employees of city departments.
ANLS:
The Forestry Division of the Department of Public Works (DPW) has requested a change in the convention they are authorized to attend, thus necessitating an amendment.
BODY
Whereas, Funding of $50,000 for convention travel for city employees and Board and Commission members has been included in the 1999 Budget in the Special Purpose sub-class Convention and Travel Expenses Fund; and
Whereas, This resolution is in accordance with travel regulations and procedures in Section 350-181 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and
Whereas, A request to change the month of a convention previously scheduled on Exhibit A was received from the Forestry Division of DPW; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution 981383, regarding attendance at conventions during April-December 1999 as listed on Exhibit A attached to Common Council file 981383, is hereby amended; and, be it
Further Resolved, That Exhibit A be amended to change the DPW-Forestry Division's convention authorization from the Society of Municipal Arborists to the American Public Works Association (APWA) Conference.
