This ordinance provides that a rooming house owner or operator who intends to rent rooms only to college students shall state, on the application for special use approval, that all occupants of the rooming house will be full-time college students. In addition, the plan of operation for such rooming house shall state that all occupants shall be full-time college students.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 295-14-20 of the code is created to read:
295-14. Special Conditions.
20. ROOMING HOUSES FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS. If the owner or operator of a rooming house intends to rent rooms in the rooming house only to college students, the application for special use approval for the rooming house shall include a statement, signed and sworn to by the applicant, that all occupants of the rooming house will be students who are currently enrolled full-time in a college or persons who were enrolled full-time in a college within 3 months prior to such occupancy. The plan of operation for the rooming house shall stipulate that all occupants of the rooming house shall be students currently enrolled full-time in a college or persons who were enrolled full-time in a college within the past 3 months.
