Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1999 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 980576 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Salary Grade 002, add the footnote designation "2/" following the title "Management Accountant" and add the following footnote: "2/ Appointment of Deborah Damask is authorized up to the eighth step of Salary Grade 002."
Part 2. Section 25 of ordinance File Number 980576 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 1997 - June 1, 1997):
Under Pay Range 974, delete the hourly rates of pay and substitute in lieu thereof the following:
"Pay Range 974
Official Rate-Hourly
$13.05 13.97 15.11 16.26"
Under Pay Range 975, delete the hourly rates of pay and substitute in lieu thereof the following:
"Pay Range 975
Official Rate-Hourly
$10.65 12.78 15.98 19.17"
Under Pay Range 978, delete the hourly rate of pay and substitute in lieu thereof the following:
"Pay Range 978
Official Rate-Hourly
$21.30"
Part 3. Section 25 of ordinance File Number 980576 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 1998 - May 31, 1998):
Under Pay Range 974, delete the hourly rates of pay and substitute in lieu thereof the following:
"Pay Range 974
Official Rate-Hourly
$13.41 14.35 15.52 16.70"
Under Pay Range 975, delete the hourly rates of pay and substitute in lieu thereof the following:
"Pay Range 975
Official Rate-Hourly
$10.94 13.12 16.40 19.68"
Under Pay Range 978, delete the hourly rates of pay and substitute in lieu thereof the following:
Official Rate-Hourly
$21.87"
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 1997 (June 1, 1997).
The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 1998 (May 31, 1998).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 6. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
