Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $319,000 with the total cost estimated to be $7,025,000.
Body
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

3rd Aldermanic District

N. Water St. at E. Pearson St. (Marsupial bridge area access) (ST211140156): ADA access ramps and intersection modification. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

4th Aldermanic District

E. Knapp St. - N. Van Buren St. to N. Astor St. (SM495120115): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $183,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

N. Milwaukee St. - 65 feet m/l north of E. Clybourn St. to E. Clybourn St. (SM495130088): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $37,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
